Many golf GPS models these days can provide one with quick and accurate information regarding distance to the hole and other targets and hazards; length of prior shots; course layout; distance to the front, middle, and back of the green; and a whole lot more.

The Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver has come to replace an older model of Garmin, which was also a good product at the time. People are enjoying the new features of the eTrex Venture HC. The etrex Venture HC GPS Receiver has been used by military personnel in Iraq and other places overseas. Military personnel seem to favor this unit because the display is in color and there is a back light. Some military personnel have purchased an additional eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver for home use, such as going hiking or hunting.
Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Garmin eTrex Venture HC GPS Receiver:
Simply stated, the Venture HC is the eTrex perfected. It has remedied nearly every problem which plagued the original models. Amazingly effective is the new high-sensitivity receiver. With the older eTrex, satellite acquisition was quite a problem on numerous occasions. I turned on the Venture HC on the bottom floor of my two story house, and it locked onto 8 satellites hrough the roof and the upper floor! No more “need a clear view of the sky” messages. This was quite amazing! The old monochrome display is now color, and the user interface is now substantially more intuitive, with more functionality added. The Venture HC itself is great. Finally, a reasonably priced and affordable outdoor GPS receiver that I can wholeheartedly recommend. (ideastoday “ideastoday”)
